SOCIAL SECURITY REFORM

What is all the fuss about over reforming Social Security. All I have heard for the past 30 years is how social security will go broke or FICA taxes will be raised to cover the costs. Course that is when the Democrats controlled the House of Representatives. Now that the Republicans control the three branches of government everything is BROKE and we should worry aout the 40 million uninsured and not waste time with Social Security. At that time, the number of people supporting one person was 5 working stiffs. Now it is 2 to 1 and soon 1 for 1. There are two options; ONE, raise FICA taxes from 15% to 23% and the amount taxable to over $100,000, TWO, change the way Social Security is funded. For years the Democrats have talked about a LOCK BOX that never had a lock, but it sounded good at election time. Now someone who campaigned on the issue, won the election wants to do something about it before its too late. Since government runs at a snail pace, they must prepare for it now otherwise it means raising taxes. They say that it will go solvent about 2032. Government can move very slowly so propose change now not when its too late. Give people the choice of there own destiny. The investment program would include CD's or setup individual investment accounts monitored by a group like FIDELITY or other major investment companies. But the stock market is EVIL and would go broke or misuse funds. SO WHAT! The damn goverment employees have had an investment plan for the past 10 to 12 years. This is the same basic plan he is proposing only with different control. IT IS A 401K plan. Why isn't it good enough for the average person, but the government people are smarter and besides we the Democrats wouldn't be able to have an issue at the next election. These people are the biggest hypocrits I know of. They never produce any program without the goverment controlling it and then never has an auditing control over expenditures only to allocate more money the next year for failure. Our education system is a good example of an unending source of money for failed policy's.

I am so thankful that Hillary CLinton did not get her way with the medical controlled program in 1992-93 that would have broke this country. Now the 40 million want the government to control their destiny with a program that will give 100% medical coverage at a cost of that about MEDICARE. Folks, it would end with the government paying the whole bill. American people must make their own destiny by working, investing in small programs or 401k's so they don't depend on government. It is a great feeling to be free of having someone control your livehood.

I support President Bush and his Social Security Reform. If the young people would just stop and look at a program that could give them a great retirement with the money to do what they want, when they it want to do it. I support President Bush who is a tough skinned person and he has alot of layers left....

Now we have a President who wants to conrol our very lives with a Healthcare system he knows nothing about nor did he write it. Congress and the senate wrote various versions of what they see without his input. It is all about controlling your life, financial and information both personal and medical by the US government's big brother COMPUTER.
